This unit was part of a hay trolley system used to move
loose, unbaled hay from a wagon
into a barn hay mow. Sometimes called a "hay carrier fork." Chain and carrier head included.
As pictured above, the claw depth is 3 feet, and width is about 6 feet.
This unit is believed to date from 1940 or so. Part of a red and yellow label is still visible on
one of the forks, and the carrier head has stamped numbers and text.
